Medite MR PLUS MDF
MEDITE MR PLUS is a premium white primed moisture resistant MDF panel coated on both
surfaces using an opaque UV cured coating system. Designed for use in humid conditions in accordance with MDF.H (Option 1) as defined in EN 622-5 so is ideal for applications such as exhibition stands, shop fit-outs, kitchen and bathroom furniture, general furniture and general interior joinery. MEDITE MR PLUS delivers a high performance primed MDF product and are FSC® Compliant.

MEDITE MR PLUS is produced in the following standard thickness of 9,12,15 and 18mm in sizes 1220x2440mm and 1220x3050mm. Other sizes and thicknesses are available on request subject to minimum order quantities

Applications
MEDITE MR PLUS matt low gloss topcoat is the perfect smooth base for further application of water or solvent borne paint products by brush, roller or spraying equipment.
The premium primer used for MEDITE MR PLUS has increased opacity which will allow savings and reduction in the finished coating systems while maintaining the superior end product quality.
MEDITE MR PLUS is successfully used for exhibition stands, shop fit-outs, kitchen and bathroom furniture, general furniture and general interior joinery.
MEDITE MR PLUS is suitable for interior humid conditions and is manufactured in accordance with EN 622-5. MEDITE MR PLUS is not suitable for external applications.
Performance
The test methods used for moisture resistant MDF includes a specialised cyclic test (EN 321) in which test pieces, after conditioning, are immersed in water at 20°C for 72 hours, frozen in air at -12°C for 24 hours, and heated in an air-circulated oven at 70°C for 72 hours.
This cycle is carried out three times, followed by post conditioning and physical testing according to EN 622 methods.
Appearance
MEDITE MR PLUS is distinguishable from other MEDITE MDF products by its green identification colour and high quality primed coating on the surface.
Conditioning
The moisture content of MEDITE MR PLUS is in the range of 5-9% at the time of manufacture. Changes in dimensions of wood and wood-based sheet materials occur due to changes in relative humidity.
For this reason, MEDITE MR PLUS panels should be conditioned to the final environment for two to three days before processing and coating.
Machining / Finishing
Cut or profiled edges of MEDITE MR PLUS should first be sanded with 150-240 grit prior to coating. The recommended coating system for the edges is to seal, prime and topcoat with de-nibbing between coats to produce a smooth finish.
MEDITE MR PLUS should be prepared and coated as per coating manufacturer guidelines. MEDITE MR PLUS must be coated on all surfaces prior to installation, especially when placed next to damp plaster.
Boards of this type are suitable for use in Hazard Class 1 and 2 environments of EN 335, provided an appropriate coating system is used.
